WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS?

I can spend so much time on TED. Probably you already know the website but if you don`t, you should definitely go and check it out. Believe me, you can find some really interesting things over there! :) 

Anyway I came across this enthusiastic and funny speech, which I thought it would be cool to share it with you guys. It`s not my usual thing that I would post, but then again, there is not rules, I post what I like. :) 

This is based on 500 interviews and 7 years of research.

1. PASSION = I`m driven by my passion. (Freeman Thomas, car designer, DaimlerChrysler)

"Do it for love, not money!"

2. WORK = It`s all hard work. Nothing comes easily. But I have a lot of fun. (Rupert Murdoch big cheese CEO)

3. FOCUS = I think it all has to do with focusing yourself to one thing. (Norman Jewison, filmmaker)

4. PUSH = Push yourself. Physically, mentally, you gotta push, push, push. (David Gallo, marine scientist) 

5. IDEAS = I had an idea - founding the first micro-computer software company.. (Bill Gates, software guy)
Listen , Observe, Be Curious, Ask Questions, Problem Solve, Make Connections

6. GOOD/IMPROVE = To be successful put your nose down in something and get damn good at it. (Alex Garden, game developer)

It`s not always easy to push yourself.

7. SERVE = It was a privilege to serve as a doctor. (Sherwin Nuland, professor of surgery,Yale)

8. PERSIST = Persistance is the number one reason for our success. (Joe Kraus, co-founder, Excite)

What do you think about it? Do you agree with what was said? Are this 8 points really the most important ones? Well, I would add number 9 = Luck. I think no matter what, even if you are super good in something, you still need a pinch of luck to help you out! :)
